The trebuchet was the dominant and most used sege weapon in europe from 850AD to 1350AD lasting 100 years after the introduction to gunpowder. in most of europe it was called an ingenium, and the technicians worked on the weapon were ingeniators (engineers). large version threw large stones diseased cows shunned negotiators, and also rotting flesh.
